Vintage Strand Pattern 23 Theatre Light

RARE BRITISH 1950'S FILM LAMP FULLY RESTORED AND RE-PURPOSED INTO A HOME OR OFFICE FLOOR LIGHT


This iconic example of British design was made by the strand lighting company in their Covent Garden works in London's west end.

This strand 23 profile spotlight - also known as the 'baby spot' was one of the workhorses of the theatre industry from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Regrettably, most have now been lost or destroyed and the survivors represent rare examples of an original British industrial design classic.


The light has been superbly engineered and features a die-cast ventilated body, 360-degree rotation, Iconic circular design, and an internal reflector.
